Inter Service Ice Championships 2017
This year the 2017 Inter Service Ice Championships took place in Lillehammer, Norway and the Army teams achieved their best Ice results since 2006, winning 3 of the 5 team titles as follows:
- Army Male Bobsleigh Champions. This was a great result as the team was without LSgt Deen Gren Gds, who was on GB World Cup duty, which has showed strength in depth.
- Army Female Skeleton Champions. A great result with Capt Larcombe RAMC and SSgt Bloomer RAPTC as winner and runner up in the individual. LCpl Jackson RLC was also runner-up in the Male event.
- Army Combined Team Luge Champions. Additionally Sgt Scott RAMC and Gdsm Thompson won the individual Female and Male titles.
The overall results from all competitions show that the Army took 7 of 12 Team titles, one down from the high of 2016.
